Welcome to Top Stitch – our shop in Wisbech is crammed full of good things for Patchworkers and Dressmakers.

We have hundreds of patchwork fabrics in stock, all 100% cotton of course, including Moda Marbles, novelty fabrics from Timeless Treasures, coordinating ranges from Makower and a host of other varied prints and plains. We stock a variety of waddings, 80/20 cotton/polyester, plus several 100% polyesters including Soft & Bright.

We have a lovely range of dressmaking fabrics suitable for all occasions. Sparkling evening wear, material for smart suits, soft and pretty fabric for summer dresses, fabric for nightwear and childrens wear – we've lots to choose from! We have beautiful Bridal fabrics to order from Carrington Fleet. We stock two complete ranges of dressmaking patterns, Butterick and Burda.

Fun fur fabrics are very popular for fancy dress costumes and for soft furnishings. We also stock a good range of polyester fleece in prints and plain colours which is not only ideal for jackets and dressing gowns, but also makes a great backing for quilting projects.

Our wide selection of haberdashery includes everything from knicker elastic to rotary cutters – including zips, Velcro, Dylon dyes, scissors, lace and ribbon. Buttons add a final touch to a project and we have hundreds, with new designs coming in all the time. We stock Gutermann sewing threads, including 100% cotton and quilting thread, alsoYLI variegated machine quilting thread. We have a selection of Anchor embroidery thread, including the lovely multi colour shades in cotton pearlé.

And that’s not all! We sell books on patchwork, embroidery, dressmaking, beading and other crafts. For craft projects we have felt, glue, beads, sequins and more.

Beading is an exciting hobby and we have just added 3 ranges of gorgeous glass beads from Gutermann: Rice beads, Crown beads and Teardrop beads. To complement our original bead selection, we have some lovely beaded trimmings.
